Paul (Ryan Reynolds), a truck-driving contractor in Iraq, wakes up in a box buried in the sand. He has a lighter, someone’s mobile phone, and 90 mins to find out why he’s there and if he’s going to get out. The film’s commentary on the human cost of the war and its digs (whoops) at exploitative US companies and telecommunications frustrations aren’t especially original, but it’s quite an achievement that a film with a cast of one ordinary bloke, set in one claustrophobic location, can hold your interest. 7/10
