The Green Hornet

Britt Reid (the new, slimmer Seth Rogen), waster son of a millionaire newspaper owner, inherits a media empire on his dad’s sudden death by bee sting. Britt decides to become a crime fighter. Luckily one of his dad’s old assistants, Kato, is great at martial arts and whipping up superhero-style gadgets overnight. They find themselves fighting the forces of Chudnofsky (Christoph Waltz), a crime lord who suffers from a complete lack of  charisma – which is probably the only new idea in this film.

Written by Rogen and co possibly the day after reading their first screenwriting book, this is loud, stupid and unoriginal but occasionally raises a chuckle. 6/10
