One pill to conquer them all…
Eddie, a failed (of course) writer, runs into an old acquaintance who’s dealing a new kind of drug: one that lets you access every part of your brain for all that information you’ve ever been exposed to (how the stockmarket works, how Bruce Lee fells ten men in ten seconds). Furthermore, you can join all the dots and apply all that knowledge. I never run into old acquaintances like that.
Eddie ends up with a stash of the pills after the acquaintance’s sudden demise, and sets about being very successful indeed. Naturally, someone else wants the pills. And naturally, they have nasty side effects.
Great premise, entertaining execution, with a strong ‘drugs are good’ message. Erm, was that what they intended…? 8/10
