Bad Neighbours

"OK, for this warm-up exercise, we'll all imagine we're holding big balls."
“OK, for this warm-up exercise, we’ll all imagine we’re holding big balls.”

Original title: Neighbors (and without Rose Byrne in the poster)

Couple with baby move into a house, but then a party-hard frat house led by Zac Efron moves in next door. Cringe-worthy attempts to be down wid da kids soon morph into all-out conflict in a fairly predictable way.

This has a couple of chuckles and a couple of surprises, and Zac Efron spends much of the movie shirtless, but unfortunately so does Seth Rogen, and the crasser bits of comedy may not appeal. So, you know, swings and roundabouts. It starts badly, gets better, and you probably won’t regret not seeing it. 6/10

Released May 8, 2014.
